For me the therapeutic side of things is that when I write I do not really know what I am writing I try to let it flow. Then when I read it back it reveals a whole lot about myself.
Then that moment when you record, in the zone, in the booth, in the bubble, in my own world.
Then listening and getting the relatively fast satisfaction of having created something.

The movie "the circle" is quite different from the book it's based on, by Dave Eggers, especially the ending. The book is dystopic regarding surveillance by the namesake company in it, which has bought Google and Facebook, while the film ends with said surveillance being the solution to corruption.
In most of the “highly funded or sponsored” mass media and content you watch, there’s a message to brainwash you.
I’ve went to film school and worked in the film/tv/commercial industry, and yes I understand what you’re saying, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying that the content that we make is there to brainwash 🤷♀️ just my opinion
But this may depend on where you live 🫂
Try to make a truthful movie and you might unfortunately come across the sad reality that no one will accept to air it for you. It’d rather end up on YouTube with the title “watch before it gets deleted”. Ofc not everyone has the intention to brainwash, I work in media/PR too but in my modest opinion if the content promotes common stereotypes and inauthentic info then the content ends up brainwashing by itself. Just to be clear this doesn’t apply to 100% of the content out there but yeah I don’t watch TV since i was 17.
