i don't get it.
what is the point of using a social network and NOT socializing?
they will feel so special that they assume people will just follow them? but why?

I personally think this is a “Facebook effect” - so basically on Facebook you only “friend”/follow people you know irl or celebrities who are “suggested”… on Nostr I don’t personally know anybody yet, nor do I receive suggestions, so I have to use more of a Twitter-type strategy, but there is also a “Twitter effect” where the most influential folks follow 0 people lol - people are funny 😄

This kind of thing would indicate to me, they are using the platform to generate leverage. In whatever manner that is.. to garner attention, to propagate something or simply to extract from others.. but also, who knows 🤷♂️
