Ordinals are dumb.
Moralising won’t do anything. Either campaign and code to remove them or STFU.

There is no way to remove it, so better just STFU
*without breaking other legitimate Bitcoin use cases
I was able to send a minimum fee transaction with quick confirmation even though there’s a 40+ block queue. I don’t get all the fuss, fee market is solving and “problems” already. Seems like the ordinals are just filling up unused block space?
That's what I think. But what is true is that fee estimation for example at mempool.space is totally dumb and missing the point right now. If you use its suggestion to set your fees you're overpaying tremendously. Maybe that's why all the folk is crying. Just use your brain, plebs. Other than accept that bitcoin is censorship-resistant and once you pay the fee for blockspace, you can do whatever you want with it.
Everyone who pays the fees are free to do whatever is possible in the bounds of bitcoin. There is no ‚dumb‘ use case.
greater consensus wins maybe
Ordinals/inscriptions strengthen Bitcoin's protections under the First Amendment.
Well, it is good for the miners which are the hired security guards for the all the nodes that hold BTC constitution.
They will always provide baseline profitablity to the miners.
Did you mean inscriptions?
I think ordinals are just an agreed-upon L2 algorithm for pretending that sats are numbered, non-fungible and traceable.
Will there be a pod on this?
Yes, very soon
Will ordinals bring the next fork wars?
I just got my first bitcoin ordinal. It was a great experience. I listened to the twitter spaces with Udi. I love the bitcoin wizard meme and it was worth it just to honor the artist. I rushed to download a swallow wallet and remember what a potent onboarding experience this all was and how it onboarded me to eth. I like to experiment with all tech, but love bitcoin and think it is far superior. After receiving my wizard. I needed to learn about the bitcoin nft process and growing infrastructure. I think this is all very good for bitcoin. It’s a reminder of unintended consequences, reinforces the importance of conservatism, makes one question latent bugs/exploits in eths code, but most importantly gives bitcoin a small extra innovative engine that can onboard and exponentially create value through innovation. Bitcoin should focus on just being money and these NFT’s should be far secondary, but I think they have a lot of positives. The technicals and longterm incentives could prove me wrong, but you should go through the experience before you do a pod critical of it. Love the pod by the way.
