Political capture of #btc by #US government for their personal gains in the obvious geo-political decline is net negative for #btc and what it represents.

I have been in this space for long time but I see #btc being captured by the #us greddy rich wall street guys to enrich themselves.

#btc is not a tool made for #us and its people. It is made for every single human on earth.

Sadly the loudest voices in this spaces are of #us people and thus undermining the growth potential that it can have in global south because it looks like just another scheme from west to loot the wealth of the poor countries.

I migrate to Knots version 29 for example. Because I felt it is good and correct from what I can test.

Now lukejr does something that is malicious ( for example, not saying he will do) and now I get stuck basically on version 29 and keep running it. Thus having no upgrade possibilities.

If I have to stay on the same version 29, I would choose BTC core and stay there.

Saying that a group of large contributed project is 100% malicious and a single person project is never exposed to have malicious intend would be incorrect imo.

But in any case, run whatever you want. It is your hardware. I am fortunate that I can read and understand the changes on these repo and can make a conscious decision on it.

Hence the tradeoff to run btc knots is too high for anyone.

Untill that happens we are at the whimp of what lukejr feels is good and bad and accept to the run the packaged version from him that is called BTC knots.

Spent last month by distancing myself from #btc and #nostr to see if I am in an echo chamber or not??

I can safely say, it's hard pill to swallow but this whole thing is an echo chamber for people outside this bubble. No one gives flying fuck about #btc and #nostr and what they stand for. Frankly no one cares. This is the biggest problem of #humanity as a whole.

We all here are just bunch of stupid nerds for them. And definitely we are so #early.

I just got upgraded by #phoenix #wallet to use their 3rd generation wallet with splicing.

I have not been an adhérent user of #phoenix wallet but this update, I am sure they have won a regular user.

This update is a game changer in many ways.

I just onboared few people around me and it was so simple to do that and with the self custody option.

The fees paid to use this service is well justified and it can bridge lot of people that have no skin in the game.
