My second day of experimentaltion exporting to the #grid.

I set the house battery to charge over night at 7p\kWh then export at 15p

These are fixed tariffs with #Octopus Energy.

I may switch to the agile tariff (with variable import\export) depending on how the experiments go.

Have you got your eye on some batteries - fill um up at night - use or export during the day.

I know a guy who now swears by his gennie with bio diesel - runs 16kv for a couple of hours a day during winter , haven’t done the sums , interesting though

I already have 15kWh of house battery but yes tempting to get more. I can export 5kW max without upgraded grid connection.

Import 6hrs x 10kW = 60kWh

@ 7p = £4.20

Export 12hrs x 5kW @ 20p = £12

12-4.20 £7.80 \ day ≈ Better than a kick in the bollocks 😄
