Monero exists + I see the need for it.
I acknowledge that it serves a purpose.
But the vocal Monero appreciatooors are better served marketing quietly, rather than enthusiastically.
BTC is the most important blockchain. All others depend on BTC developing and thriving.

Bitcoin could go to zero and people will still use Monero.

If you don't want to hodl I'd suggest just keeping a small stack that you use for payments.
Swapping in and out when you need to use it is vulnerable to timing analysis.
Depends on your threat model though.
Don’t have a present need but very aware of the vulnerabilities of flowing in and out and how to proceed if a need arises.
