The one thing stuck me most about bitcoiners: how did they get into this nerdy, kind of introvert, topic. I often refer to myself and think of why i got into it: always interested in science, but not tech-savvy, mathematical type of guy, instead a good listener, very frugal as a child already, discovered the bicycles to discover the stillness and beauty of our globe early on, always compared the euros I spent with the days I could travel by bike. That’s one part. The realization part came after covid hit. Lockdowns, curfews during the night (shocked me, mostly bc I love biketours and arriving in foreign places by night is a vibe I won’t miss), mandates, etc.

I always felt alienlike here and that our system is kind of broken but I didn’t came up with an undermined explanation. This time it felt like the government’s are losing control, so they’re fighting back. My intuition brought me here, mandates, lockdowns brought me here, the fear of loosing my freedom of cycling the world with 3€/day brought me here. I’m thankful for you guys. Now i know, with 12 words in my mind and the lightning network, it’s gonna be much easier to cycle the world.
