So #Trump is back on Twitter.

I really want to deactivate my account but I still use it to keep in contact with activists and to organise.

I no longer want to help bolster a platform that promotes hate and bigotry and harbours Nazis but I’ve contact with a network of people around the country who actively work against fascism.

It’s a genuine ethical dilemma.

Any ideas?

nostr:npub1f9mc3hq6jv89h8h57mutah4nkt4e3vuavj96cr5cjdcrpsfaqrrs6tcn3m I haven't posted, liked or retweeted anything on Twitter since November last year but I've kept my account, mainly because I don't want my Twitter handle to fall into other hands.

Initially, I had hoped that there might be a post-Musk future for Twitter and that I might return but that seems increasingly unlikely.

I don't think having an inactive account bolsters the platform in any significant way. Active Users is the key metric that investors and advertisers will look to.
