BLT leaves can have as high as 23% crude protein and make excellent animal feed. I wouldn't feed the seed pods to animals but the leaves are an incredible source of protein for animals.

I'd still prefer to chop it down and use it to make charcoal than let my goats eat it. Though they probably would be just fine doing so, they are not grazers so they'd probably never OD on it.
