I'd still prefer to chop it down and use it to make charcoal than let my goats eat it. Though they probably would be just fine doing so, they are not grazers so they'd probably never OD on it.

I've fed large amounts of it to chickens and rabbits without any issues. The entire argument is bunk. The pods can cause problems but I know of many people that use BLT foliage as browse and have great results.

These people also say the same thing about comfrey. Turns out you would have to eat an entire bale of it in one sitting to get sick. Your stomach would explode before you died from the comfrey.

But they'll happily sell you alantoin all day long to make you look younger. Synthetic of course, cos it's cheaper and damages the environment more.
