Some people propose having to prove you’re human to use social apps - I don’t like this idea. It places the burden of proof on the person instead of those who care if I’m real or not.
I think web of trust solves this anyway. Kinda odd that relatively speaking no one is talking about WoT outside of nostr 🤔
It’d be interesting to test refundable lightning deposits to use apps as a spam/deterrent
There is no WoT outside of nostr. because you cant build a trust-less WoT unless you have cryptographic keys
If google, facebook, twitter or any other large platform tried to bootstrap a WoT. it wouldn't work the same as nostr since you would have to trust them first
