Purple and Orange Hug?

Hug 🫂 = OG #[2] reference and the compassion of plebchain

Orange -> Bitcoin

Purple -> Nostr

Encompasses so much in such a tiny image. 🫡

How do such custom emoji even work (in the programming sense)?

Does the iPadOS/iOS platform support some sort of custom emoji API and "font" handling? Are they encoded into some sort of reserved Unicode™ plane?

Where would I see the code specific to this functionality, or the docs to the features?
