If nostr is to sustain, zaps need to 'split' value to the relay(s) used and apps used.

Relays should get paid.
the way reach works… where clients are constantly rebroadcast notes they see to any write available relay… I don’t see how splits would work.
could image a relay where you trickle out sats as you read, much like listening to a podcast, and maybe those sats are then split with the content creator.

How did this work with podcasting?
Worth reading up about it. But if you "zap" my show (it's not called that), then the zap goes to 49% me, 49% my co-host, 1% the podcast index, and 1% fountain (who do comments and help promote it). I'm 100% in charge of that split.
It gets more exciting when you use wallet-switching tech to support a music artist I play in my show, so "zaps" during that song are split further to the artists I'm playing.
As long as it’s optional and not forced.
This is why I asked for a payPerView link NIP. This could be implemented easily on client level .
We could make not only onlyfans.com obsolete but the entire content creator market. Apple, Google take a big junk of content creators income. 30%? Lets bring it down to 1% on nostr!!!
Lets calculate..

With Nostr 1% cut, sexy latina Erikha gets 99% in BTC. 990USD. But thats not all. The hot colombiana does not want fiat instead she holds btc and pumps all our btc bags!!!!!! Now multiply this with all adult content models and then with all content creators world wide!!!
This usecase could be programmed in a week! No need for nostr protocol update. All handled by a client implementation like iris, damaus or 3rd party provider.
One last tought.
Content creators work for money they do not grow on trees. We could easily copy & paste their work from other websites here on nostr. But guess what they would stop to creat content.
