This is probably a better and cheaper way to get people into bitcoin. Cheaper because you save time and protect your sanity lol plus you'll feel good knowing that you have given them something that can really help them in a meaningful way in the future.

Totally. kind of only applicable to family and close friends. but more meaningful as a result.

You take on all the risk, but depending on your level of conviction it doesn't necessarily feel risky.

Also might be the cheapest (for you) gifts you ever give, relative to their ultimate value.

Those are the only people you should focus on teaching bitcoin to anyway. Talking about bitcoin too much with strangers and loose acquaintances is somewhat dangerous. Instead of giving someone a gift card for their birthday, download a mobile wallet and send them sats in real time. Let them experience it. They will forget that it's on their phone and check it every few months when they hear something about it.
