i'm a retarded new person. before i follow for follow, i do a trusty scratch & sniff process. so far, so good.
It's not new users, lots of people new and old have the mentality. Thirsting for follows.

It looks like you're doing well, finding the community you vibe with.
I followed the bad advice to follow lots of people to have an active feed when I joined, now it is hard to weed out my follow list, and cultivate the good ones.

Thus is the way. I've tried to be follow-frugal. So far I'm happy about it.
Good approach. I’m definitely not frugal- gathering as many real & decent folks as possible. I figure if they are here and active there’s a chance they’re cool
