I lost my entire following list today again. This time I was using only Amethyst without a concurrent Iris client. I don't know how this is possible without a race condition.
Restore them with Nostrgram.

Then you can backup and download a JSON file on iris and keep it locally.
Nostrgram has an archive of your following status and you can roll back to any number of earlier snapshots.
