People can use whatever reference best suits their personal circumstances.

Absolutely no one is using the term 'mom' as an intentionally derogatory placeholder for the technologically illiterate - certainly not outside of their own life experiences.

I'm so sick of people like you trying to manage the speech of others. GFY.

my mother has been managing her own linux installation for a decade

i taught her... she's a really smart lady my mother, DIY mindset, in her teens and 20s was into the whole "self sufficiency" trip that was the thing in the 70s

i'd also go further than my hypocrisy comment above to also point out that most people are too busy being puppeteered by the system to have the time to learn anything and words like "my mom" and "normies" exist because it's not just a generalization it's the fucking reality, you have to go in with that expectation and occasionally you will be surprised but rarely, one in 10 or less

if you’re so tired of it, why you doing it??

Oh you are flipping to being victim are you?

Give me a break.

I pointed out your behavior mimics the very thing that i did that disgusted you

ngl the uno reverso attempt is pretty funny 😄

No you didn't do that at all. My comment responding to you in no way equates to your pathetic attempt to collectively shame everybody from using a particular term because you personally find it offensive.

People use 'mom' 'dad' 'pops' 'nan' etc interchangeably with regard to addressing the technologically illiterate but here you are trying to drum up the use of the term 'mom' in this context as somehow inappropriate and offensive in some bullshit feminist context.

Gross. People can use whatever term they deem appropriate and they should ignore people like you who seem to be hyper offended by everything.

hypocrisy is pathetic not disgusting

you want to do disgusting, go on, there's many ways to be disgusting but you aren't doing them as far as i can see

you invoked the mother, you soak the damage
