“Conviction” is the wrong word for describing why someone would go all-in on Bitcoin. “Understanding” is a better word for it.

Once I understood it, I have to rationalize keeping any wealth in fiat. Completely flipped the script.

Totally. Once a tipping point of understanding is reached it’s impossible to go back. Though, it is a healthy exercise to think about “what would make me allocate to other asset classes”…even thought the answer is typically “nothing”. Always have to be vigilant.

Yah. There was someone on here talking about how people are turned off by the sure-thing attitude, the cult-like belief in it triggers people at first.

It's not belief, it's engineering. It's math, it's known. There's no faith or trust or belief about it and there's no fixing that. It is what it is. The sun will rise.

There is the intellectual understanding of Bitcoin. That bitcoin should be worth an awful lot more than it is today. The rational mind can even understand why it's so under valued. But there can still be doubt in your reasoning. That you may be wrong about the impact Bitcoin will have on humanity & yourself.

Conviction moves beyond just understanding intellectually. It involves putting skin in the game. In taking action to tie your future with this thing. It's more about feeling than rational thought.

One can have conviction without understanding & one can have understanding without conviction. If I'm right about Bitcoin, both conviction & understanding will be helpful in the journey.
