If you have hundreds of thousands of people who want to see you, then charging too little just means that others will buy up all the tickets & sell them for what they are actually worth.

Setting prices too low will actually reduce the average person's ability to get a ticket.

Prices are not arbitrary.

Agorism would argue that the prices are arbitrary?

How's that?

Yep, I used arbitrary and that is exactly the wrong word. I meant perhaps arbitrarily flexible based on scarcity, though that is an awful, awkward way to say relevant pricing guided by the principles of supply and demand. Apologies. 🙃

People who dream of making lots of money on events find all manner of ways to defend the bloated BS which is the event world. But its more shitcoinerism. Self deception for profit. “oh but it cant be done. you just don’t understand”.

Get out of the way.

I don't dream of making lots of money on events, I just understand the point of prices. Allocating access to a scarce resource without using prices will just produce dramatically longer wait times as people line up for tickets, or will reward someone with technical superiority in their ability to game online ticket sales. The laws of supply & demand always apply, all you can do is shift costs from one area to another, you can't change reality.
