Why would we? You're comparing L2 privacy vs on-chain privacy. Apples to oranges. Layers have their own unique downsides that Monero doesn't.

Also, imagine a private layer, but this time built on Moneros encrypted blockchain. Now that's some heavy duty privacy 👌

Then your listening skills are not very advanced.

To the contrary,, we are celebrating every privacy improvement like this as it benefits all of us if we can transact more privatly on BTC and between Monero and BTC.
