Critical path can move if certain variables are changed or solved, yes.

Often in multi-disciplinary fields there is a firm critical path that doesn't change much (e.g. "we gotta build this custom mechanical thing that only this Swiss firm seems to know how to build vs all the easier software and electrical and IT details we can do in-house".

But if initial assessments are wrong "hey, it turns out this other firm already has the thing we need to build" or "wow it turns out this software detail is 10x harder than we thought" then the critical path can change.

Sounds like a pretty fun set of challenges in your spot. Need to have soft skills enough to deal with the expert austists but also juuust enough autism to understand what they’re saying.

Did you actually have to come

Up with the critical path as your met with the A+ experts or were you kindof given the critical path to manage with a set of experts ?

I appreciate your original post and this expansion. And, at some point in future post(s), I would find it quite useful to read any additional perspectives you may have regarding your experiences with applying systems thinking, critical path identification, and other related decision-making elements. Maybe others would find this insight helpful, too. Thank you.
