The Strategic Reserve won't strengthen the dollar. The only way to actually strengthen the US Dollar is by balancing the budget and paying down the debt.

But it would help with those things, so you refute yourself.

I wish I could believe that Congress will actually do the work to balance the budget. If I'm wrong, that would be wonderful. But I no longer believe that they are capable of even understanding what it would mean.

How exactly do you think that the Reserve would help balance the budget and pay down/off the debt? I've been reading the hopium for months, and I just don't see it.

NGU, but it's true that spending has to be brought under control.

Could even buy Greenland if we leaned into it tho.

Number Go Up is fiat thought patterns, though. I don't care about the exchange value with a zombie currency.

Fair enough, but if you don't care you probably shouldn't ask.

Oh, probably wrong to say I don't care, I just keep in mind that the US Dollar is not actually money. What we see as NGU is actually the entire Dollar system collapsing. I don't want anyone hurt, but I just want it done already.

while, at least she's saying the quiet part out loud--that this is a path toward extending the US empire

that is NOT what I'm here for

You could also see it as avoiding falling off a cliff. Kinda important for humanity for the US not to implode, it's not all evil like deranged leftists would tell you.

I believe we are going to fall off a cliff if we stay on our current course

this does as much to keep current power dynamics as it does to course correct

I gotcha. It's a delicate balancing act. Quitting addiction cold turkey is frequently lethal. Let's be real.
