I was at a cross country meet on the front range two weeks ago. Looked up and saw the Lake County tent and thought “how awesome that those coaches took those kids to the meet.”

I can’t imagine what the drives are like in the winter for whatever league all of those school are in. My dad coached at Ft Fort Carson in the 1960s and Lake County was in their league.

We are an 8-Man Football team. We are well traveled for sure. I also coach the HS track team. Our field and track sits at 9,000 feet overlooking 4, 14,000 foot peaks.

Unbelievable. Track kids in Colorado are always tough given Fed-May weather, but your kids are no doubt exceptionally tough dealing with high winds and an icy track.
