Really really really disappointed to see noncustodial services feel pressure to adopt lnurl/lnaddress receive.

It allows the wallet vendor to steal funds, which is obviously pseudo-custodial, and, worse, means we can’t get privacy from blinded paths, you’re still seeing everything.

This is what happens when we don’t carefully consider the technology we’re making a defacto standard. Don’t break bitcoin, please.

#[0] does have a point here and I hope bitcoiners with capacity to fix this come together and agree on new standards

Love the solutions that custodial wallets brought to make Nostr zaps work.. but it’s an undesirable outcome that non custodianship losses the battle because of these things

Hopefully we can have the best of all

Yeah. Custodial services are def not ideal here. 😕 Esp for the sake of UX/UI.

Hope WoS develops a non custodial portion of their services

If you want LN address it’s sort of custodial or else it’s very complicated for mainstream user
