This particular scraper is manual mode only.

Mine too! Inexpensive , never wears out. Had mine 5+ years. Only need to clean cast iron with water and a bit of elbow grease.

Medieval chainmail?

basically haha. it's a chainmail scraper or scrubber for cast iron.

Mine is salt & a paper towel

i've used this method before. it works well.

I use that method every time I cook. Wipe it down, dry it off and add some oil
