When I was a kid, people would tell me wrestling was fake and I'd be like "Yeah that WWF crap is fake but this is the NWA!" lol
It seems I've always been a mark for controlled opposition especially if they gave the appearance of being an oppressed underdog.
The similarities between politics and wrestling are interesting though. For instance, giants like Andre couldn't stay in the same territory for long because the novelty of his size would quickly get old. Same with Senator Fetterman I suspect.
