Have always erred towards trusting first and then verifying if trust well placed. Sometimes it bites you in the ass but it does make it faster to build a trust network. Cost / benefit seems reasonable as trust is one of the most valuable things in life
Same here for the most part. There are some heuristics I use to speed up the process
