- Fasting is crazy beneficial. It is an absolute midwit take to deny this. Bonkers.

- Out of the 3 macronutrient groups, carbs are completely unessential. I want someone to explain to me why we need carbs mechanicistically. All I get is Salad boy's dumb opinions (or other nutritionists).

- Saturated fat does not cause heart disease, nor do polyunsaturates prevent it. This is mainstream science now with multiple systematic reviews of rcts to back it up.

- We are all protein defficient probably, protein is absolutely essential.

- Strength training is underappreciated. Get some muscle ffs.

Doctors don't know anything about nutrition (source: me) and nutrition science has allowed a global obesity and t2dm pandemics to occur.

Fuck fiat food and fuck fiat medicine, quite frankly.

Fuck it's such a relief to see that there are people who think like me 😂.

As a curiosity my body mass index is a bit higher than what it would have to be for my height (classic literature), years ago with a fat percentage of 12% an obese doctor and smoker told me I had to lose weight.

BMI definitions of obesity were set arbitrarily. Look at photos of innuit hunters taken in early 20th century. These guys were fit, but they clearly had body fat. There is even some data that suggest oveweight people (bmi 26-30) live longer than the 'normal' group.

It takes a special kind of doctor who will look at a healthy person in front of them and criticize their cholesterol. It's like doctors lost the power of observing plain facts.

I have family in the medical field who have seen me lose over 100 pounds and still caution me about how risky my diet is
