I want to improve at managing my own emotions

Worth it.
You're in good company.
Every day
Somos dos amigo mío,debes mantenerte sereno.
You can do it, and this is a good step Jake, keep it up. It helps me to remember that even if my emotions do take over i can pause take a deep breath and continue in the path that’s most productive.
If you want to improve your relationship with your emotions, I would humbly recommend framing it as a relationship rather than managing. This is because managing speaks of control, and relating to your emotions speaks to interactions of honor, acceptance, validation, and grokking.
Emotions are passing waves, not fixed truths. Find humor to lighten the weight and try mental tricks, like imagining different outcomes, to rewire how you react.
That's hard when you have PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance).
I unfortunately have some undiagnosed form of it (I might also be PDD-NOS, though).
That’s such an important goal — and not easy, but absolutely worth it. Just being aware of it is already a big first step. Wishing you patience and progress on your journey!
You can do it !
And don’t be too harsh 😌
A mi me Cuesta mucho regular mis emociones, de a Poco voy haciendolo ya que SI Cuesta, no es facil pero no imposible! 🫂✨🤙🏻
Stocism.
Try reading Mediations from Marcus Aurelius - it helped me get over a murder on a case I was working.. I was blaming myself for a lot of things that were way outside of my control like the murder itself.
