Took this with nothing more than my half-ass phone standing in complete darkness. How do you look at this and not lose yourself? Millions maybe trillions of stars, each impossibly distant, unreachable, yet undeniably real, right above us, makes you wonder what out of reach even really means.

Buy yourself a tripod for the phone, google when the Milky Way core is showing near your location in a reasonable time (8-10PM), mount the phone at the tripod, point it towards the core (its usually easy to spot outside the cities on a moonless night) and do a 30 sec long exposure. Happy mind blowing.
