Yes, it's a Cuisinel cast iron. Nothing particularly special about it. I added a leather cover to the handle. I believe any cast iron becomes good after it's been seasoned and used properly over time. If you want something fancy, check out https://finexusa.com

cast iron is cast iron. The only differences really are handles (some brands come with detachable wooden handles) and some brand pre-season them, which I would avoid and do that yourself
