Everybody here in #nostr land says that “stacking sats” is the thing to do. I have zero assets to convert into sats. Where do I start? This is all new territory for me folks. Help please! #asknostr

First of all you need a lightning wallet set on your profile. 😁👍 Once you have that done, just post interesting things and people will zap you some sats

If you set up & connect a wallet, people will zap you sats. I tried to just a bit ago. Wallet of Satoshi is really easy to set up & use, just know that it's in an account you don't have full control over & then as you learn about what you need to do to manage your balance & what tools to use, you can adjust your strategy. I'm far from good at this stuff but feel free to ask me questions. If I can't answer, maybe we can find people who can. 😊

I did!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! This is like finding change in between my sofa cushions! I really am enjoying this community. I said goodbye to all social media several years ago and never looked back until a friend just mentioned #nostr recently and I decided to give it a shot since he literally saved my life a couple years ago. Wow what a nice group of folks are here!
It really is a different experience than traditional socials. Keep learning & tailoring your personal experience & it only gets better. Once you get used to how things work and it all clicks & you can play around in different clients & applications for all sorts of stuff. Things are still fairly new so expect some bumps but don't hesitate to ask questions. Most people are helpful. Welcome to the weird & wonderful world of nostr 🫂

One option if you have a little extra fiat (give up one meal a week) is to sign up with a company that will dollar cost average a little Bitcoin purchase from your checking account on a regular interval. The only downside is that it'll be KYC coin that the government can find out about. If you want total privacy don't use a fiat checking account to but Bitcoin, go P2P or use a Bitcoin ATM (and use a burner text number of it's a big enough purchase to require it)
