I thought if it’s ecash there is no fee. Or did u send it to a lightning wallet. I was using cashu.me

even if it was ecash to ecash if you used a different mint there would be a fee

In this case, there is a fee because the mint performs an LN transaction to send funds to a different mint. The receiving mint then issues new ecash back to the user.
