Comparing the internet or Bitcoin to nostr is either some super genius mega brain shit that I won't understand or pure idiotic engagement farming bullshit.
Only time can tell us. Does have potential but would hate to call it - some people feel same as about NFTs 🤷♂️

😁 - more interested in the tech tbh - think there is case study for asset tagging for stuff like cargo and freight but would be interesting to see how the jpeg stuff evolves into something better than it is at the moment
Definitely can cut both ways. Cryptography unlocked Bitcoin, and now it is also unlocking a decentralized social media layer. Could be just as disrupting.
Nostr will be the economy of Bitcoin. It’s here where people will really develop the medium of exchange part, without which it doesn’t reach escape velocity.
I don’t think it’s engagement farming. Anyone who has studied bitcoin and read human action is going to be all over nostr and understand how massive the potential is.
Nostr is a new protocol layer on top of the others isn’t it? Why is it so incredibly stupid to compare the potential in this with for example HTTP?
It has the potential to turn the internet business models on their heads for sure. But putting it on the same level as computer and internet is probably excessive. There will be many more, absolutely overwhelming innovations coming out in the next decades. Enabled by mobile internet and bitcoin.
