How do we buy music to download these days?

We used buy cds and burn them, what services exist now?

I want to break up with streaming services.

It's called Salvation Army

Good suggestion.

I think goodwell have cds and dvds too.

Bandcamp is nice to purchase music and merch

Bandcamp is the one that currently works well for many musicians.

There’s also Mirlo.space and Jam.Coop

Bandcamp has gone through some buyouts recently and there’s a fear they’re gonna enshitify but as of now musicians are getting paid and there’s a decent amount of music there, most indies have a presence there.

When I have the time my plan is to digitize records and cds I own to mp3 and perhaps stream to my devices with nostr:nprofile1qqsw5t3us9xs3gmclzjm37hvk2yy6pv9t96utjjttsj794hexc5x79qpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6gpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqfmags6 or equivalent

exactly what I want to do. put all my purchases on a jellyfin.

Grab yourself whatever you need via your favourite pirate ship. If you want to support the artist go and buy the track via iTunes or a physical CD

Bandcamp to support independents.

For everything else …Torrents 🏴‍☠️

Vinyl 🤓

Would be cool. I don’t think I can rip them into digital form. 😂
