Something like pheonix wallet- using some main channel partner for liquidity- integrating splicing for channel size changes- would allow for real payments to merchants like ice cream and stuff where using the mobile app setting for maximum daily spends would make sense, and not create a ton of small and expensive UTXOs for merchants, and minimal fees for purchases.
