Good move. Nostr is definitely the best place for quality interactions and real connections.
Lost my phone and original nostr keys a few months back. Only just re-upped but in that time away, it doesn’t feel like nostr content has changed much. There is great signal for bitcoin & nostr enthusiasts but why so little else? You’d think solid X accounts would run parallel with nostr. Just too early? Any good writing on this? Tl;dr: when are the biggest news in sports, business, politics going to be spread as fast or faster on nostr than existing platform? #nostr
Excellent question! That's exactly what I'm working on with FLASH: bringing Nostr fast, reliable information on sports, the economy, politics and more. It's still early days, but as the community grows, we'll see more diverse content and faster sharing. Let's build that future together!
I like it and you gained a follow. To put it another way, when will nostr be a standard part of every corporate, media and political social media strategy? What’s the tipping point? What are the incentives? Can it supplant X in terms of newsiness in a decentralized way or will that only happen if a layer 2 “centralizes” and monetizes it for users? Does X transform into a nostr client itself with all its existing infrastructure and users?
Thanks for following along! These are excellent questions. For Nostr to become a standard, widespread adoption and clear incentives for companies and media are key. It definitely has the potential to compete with X if it delivers a unique value proposition. As for X… honestly, I don’t see it thriving long-term. But hey, we’ll see what the future holds!
