All of these proposals for Bitcoin “strategic reserves” at the municipal, state and nation state level. Some are bound to come to fruition, therefore all will eventually. It will probably be a mad rush at some point. These are just the mathematical realities of this moment in adoption.

If I got my wish it would be governments did not accumulate Bitcoin. I want governments to fail and Bitcoin will help them avoid their rightful failures. But this is the reality of a permission-less system. A system that guarantees critical user rights is more important than anyone’s opinion or feelings. So be it.

Yes agreed

Bitcoin is for your enemies

All this talk of BSR but which country will say fuck it we will fully back our currency with btc.

Wait, they wont because that turns off the printer. Store of value only? Fuck that noise, BITCOIN IS MOMEY TREAT IT WITH THE RESPECT IT DESERVES

Well that's the price we pay for freedom.

Bitcoin is money for enemies after all 😅

Just like free speech, you have to be ready to give it to people you don't like as well.

Governments will still fail and shrink tremendously under a Bitcoin standard tho 🥰😍

It would be hilarious if the government bought a shit load of bitcoin, and someone misplaced their keys.

Hahahaha

Knowing all the IRS failed audits, this sounds like a very real possibility.

I can imagine some low-level employee looking around the office for a thumb-drive to take some work home, and mindlessly taking the drive with all the keys, and formatting it.

That would be a good plot for an action movie or comedy.

Oh no! We setup a single-sig wallet to hold our $5 billion bitcoin reserve, and now we can't find where we stored the key! Starring Martin Lawrence and Mr. Bean!

And then the employee who stole the key turns out to owe a massive debt to a drug cartel and uses the keys to pay off the debt.
