Would the ability to spin up a relay with custom firewall rules (only certain ip can pull notes) via API be useful?
Thinking maybe like setting up dev relays, or maybe having temporary private chats where all the notes just nuke after chat is over?
What do you all think?
Maybe a preshared secret gate instead of IP limits? More useful but requires client support.
Maybe a user authentication of some kind. I can easily add authentication myself but none of the clients are made to deal with third party auth... so its sort of just open rn

That would be helpful. Or the ability to throttle traffic outside of the IP whitelist.

KISS… unless you can do it simply and reliably, I’d say use existing tools such as Keet and Simplex
