I really don't want to hold any liquid sats. But the appeal of using something like lighting to liquid with boltz then a peg out to on chain through sideswap to keep my Phoenix channel from splicing out liquidity is hard to deny.

Boltz also does lightning to on chain
The fees can get pretty high between a large Phoenix payment, the boltz fee and the main chain fee that way, but I have done that several times.
Breez also does it right from the app through boltz a little cheaper but sometimes I have wonky experiences with Breez and failed payments so I haven't specifically tried that way.
I get caught between not wanting extra steps but also intrigued by trying something new just to compare to how I've done it in the past. 🤷
Have no idea what sideswap peg out fees are compared to using straight LN boltz to on chain.
It also might make me a shitcoiners. 🤔

1M sat Peg-Out with Sidewsap =>
980,767 sats.
1M sat Boltz swap from lightning to on-chain =>
964,736 sats.
Has been cheaper for me.
I haven’t used Phoenix much at all since their splicing update. I have done several Breez swaps directly in the app in the past. None since the fees have gone up though. Always worked well for me when I did it. I did one Lightning-to-liquid-to-peg out on chain a few months back to try it out. It worked well and the fees were decent. I don’t remember exactly what they were. I didn’t peg out from liquid until the on chain fees had lowered a bit.
