While I do have a lower time preference, I have no desire to leave any trace of myself whatsoever, let alone a legacy.
Also, I will produce precisely zero children, very much by choice.
I also happen to be very pro-Bitcoin which seems completely at odds with your assertions.
Of course, you are as entitled to your opinion as anyone else, but be careful about thinking every bitcoiner fits into the same box as you.
In fact, you may benefit from considering one of the main strengths of this technology is that we can all disagree and the protocol doesn’t care or discriminate at all.
I respect your perspective. What I'm expressing is the zeitgeist Bitcoin strategic general momentum, not a law that applies in all cases. There are four human needs, which are to live, love, learn, and leave a legacy. Those are signals you can't ride yourself of, even if you disagree. It doesn't mean you're going to have kids, because that's not the only way to leave a legacy. It simply means leaving a legacy will express itself through a different avenue in your life, and Bitcoin will likely play some part of that role. By participating in Bitcoin, and anything, there is a legacy you will leave behind.
I really appreciate it when folks can express themselves and the rationale behind their beliefs. Thank you for that. :)
