If most are rejecting this then that's good. Calling for murder isn't, but celebrating someone's death is - disgusting as it may be.

People will continue to become radicalised as long as they continue participating in their games.

I agree that celebrating is not a criminal offense but it is definitely grounds for removal for most types save for maybe UFC fighers and corporate raiders. How can you trust a medical professional that condones murder? How can you trust such a person to spend time with your children? How could you trust a chef with such views not to poison your food? Attempts at "both siding" this is essentially allowing it. The celebrations just show how far gone a lot of people are.

Celebration is close enough to the line that it requires attention and action (not government). Anyone stepping foot over the line with calls for violence needs prison time. It's harsh punishment or physical conflict. No one including me wants that.

Yeah, social consequences are to be expected. I do t like the idea of cancel culture, but I can understand if you're expressing sentiments like this online or offline, that it would likely result in losing your job.

It's a deeper problem with the culture now IMO.

Cancellation is a last line of defense after all the other cultural mechanics fail (as you rightly point out). I would rather see people getting fired (and hopefully forced into self reflection)

Than see people shot or put in camps.
