Y’all don’t know how often I go back and forth with the fact that the pod is called “The Progressive Bitcoiner.”

I think many people won’t even listen (regardless of guest) because of the name, as silly as that sounds. I think many folks would really enjoy the diversity of conversation, and probably even be surprised. Am I pushing too hard to reimagine what progressive and progressivism is with bitcoin? Are peoples’ perceptions of “progressives” too much of a turn off, or a distraction, from our underlying message? Are progressive pre-coiners even intrigued by progressive in the name? These are things I wrestle with.

But I’ll keep putting out content and conversations I believe in, connect with, and that amplify bitcoin, freedom, and hope for our world.

Name's a bit of a turn-off for many. What I think of as stereotypical progressive ideas - using money printing & taxes for outcome equality. clashes with most Bitcoiners' vibe. But, strip it down: both sides want fairness, a world free from elites gaming the system. 💡 Bitcoin's appeal? It's neutral ground. Left or right, you're not trusting a gov or corp – just the code.

From my perspective even though I probably disagree politically on 70-90% with you. If your goal is to advance bitcoin around the world. This is enough for me to consider you important and vital to the conversation. bitcoin MUST BE NUTRAL politically and in every other sense of the word.

Goodism

Left the hell alone-ism

The name brand doesn't sound too dissimilar from "Bitcoin Maga Podcast". Sure, each of these political bubbles have decent size audience out there, and could attract new people to Bitcoin, and ultimately convert people into apolitical sound money maxis instead of projecting the world solutions through these traditional political means.

But you're also running temptation of audience capture, and isolating discussions just within a closed set of bitcoiners.

Bitcoin for fairness is better name to me; probably not a better (SEO) brand.

Your title was there to capture an audience mired in addiction to the Megaphone Slave Media.

Good luck with that.
