It was 2022 Halloween, I went to the busy Jersey City bar Pet shop with my whole work team. The next day, I was not feeling well, a test showed I was Covid positive. So, I started my medication and put a pause on my "drinking habit" (at least 2 cases of beer and/or a bottle of whiskey a week).
Medical advice was to be in medication for 2 weeks. So, no alcohol for 2 weeks. I recovered from COVID-19 and thought I will try staying away from drinking for another 2 weeks. And 2 more weeks and so on... Now, it has been more than 2 years without a drop of alcohol! 🤷♂️
Covid came as a boon to me! The benefit was, I started following better eating habits and workout regimen. I lost weight, from almost 230 lbs to 155 lbs.
Just telling, the best way I learned to stop drinking is, to stop for a short period, incrementally...
