AI might help you create real software without knowing how to code, but it won’t help you with the basics of software engineering.

yeah, i’m quite liking aider for stuff, i use it in combination with cursor these days. I still feel like there’s so much innovation to happen in the space of AI coding tools.
I just use ollama with deepseek_coder, with continue on vscode, and do all the patchwork myself, for some reason I'm not comfortable with AI agents making decisions on my projects yet.
