A real ai agent would set up git and do auto commits before applying patches 😛
yeah, i’m quite liking aider for stuff, i use it in combination with cursor these days. I still feel like there’s so much innovation to happen in the space of AI coding tools.
I just use ollama with deepseek_coder, with continue on vscode, and do all the patchwork myself, for some reason I'm not comfortable with AI agents making decisions on my projects yet.
Replit has version control and git. I’m not a software engineer but it saved me a couple of times. Some other times, even rollbacks didn’t help which forced me to learn a bit about databases…
