Everyone knows but I'll say it anyway just in case:

You must have a VPN on if you connect to someone else's WiFi.

No exceptions.

Same is true for connecting to any APN 🍻🍻🍻👍

Let’s also mention that you must have a VPN on if you connect to the government’s wifi, also known as the cellular network.

And you must enable the Kill Switch!

So if vpn does not work, you still don't send data without protection.

Do this

Coworkers call me paranoid for telling them to do this. 😂

Can’t be said enough.

Best vpn with pros and cons?

Would like to know as well :)

Lurking 🤙

IVPN or Mullvad hands down.

Happy to go into why, more of my reasoning here:

Heck yeaah

Absolutely wouldn't go without an always-on VPN from IVPN or Mullvad on *all* my devices.

Heads up, the Firefox hardening guide is buried/archived by the original author. Do you think email alias services might be added to this guide in the future?

Ah, good catch! I'll have to update that or write my own.

Yes, I'm surprised I left that off and didn't realize it 🤔🤔

Will add that as well as another step, thanks for the thorough review!

Thanks for putting the guide together in the first place. It's an easy, go-to recommendation for getting people started by dipping their toes as they choose and not going extreme right off the bat.

Mullvad ⚡

Go the extra mile and use a VPN even when on your own WiFi
