Peace in the middle east.

Fuck isn't that just the truth lol

Never is a long time, so I will say nothing.

A lambo

Lol. Jk.

The non-existence of nuclear weapons.

But yes to nuclear power generation?

Nuclear power can be used as an extremely efficient clean energy source. Imagine all the clean energy you would be able to gather if you could detonate a nuclear bomb in a dense and enclosed area. Of course, this is impossible. But, theoretically speaking, you would be able to gather hundreds of kilotons or even megatons of clean energy.

I agree, I'm all for nuclear power

I am, too. I just think it's an absolutely ridiculous notion that humanity was granted arguably the cleanest and most powerful source of clean energy and we decided to make weapons of mass destruction with it. 😑😮‍💨

It is really stupid, but I think people in power have realized a long time ago that nuclear is the key to plentiful cheap energy. I think it has been vilified on purpose, there's more money and far less regulation in fossil fuels. Renewables are the most expensive power we've ever produced.

We've got the technology to replicate the sun itself, but we're promoting inefficient panels to capture its light instead.

If this were possible, we could probably power every major city in the U.S. for years, maybe even decades, without issue.

I think we've only scratched the surface of what is possible.

Possible, but not practical - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_PACER

But regular thermal fission is enough to maintain the world's standard of living if the better designs are built soon enough.

I'm a huge fanboi of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANDU_reactor

I'm gonna bookmark this. I gotta hit the hay, though. 👍💤

Thanks for this.
