Oh I used to have it dialed in for years when I competed and had to make weight. I dont think the extra effort and restrictions are really necessary for non-professional athletes or unless you're looking for drastic results like losing a lot of weight.
I just eat a lot of protein, minimal sugar (mostly simple sugars pre-workout), and the rest comes easy. Cook 98% of meals at home and avoid the processed π©
