Tell me who owns this address?

Blockchain transparency and integrity is way more important than absolute privacy.

Did you forget that it is easier to trace Monero transaction than Bitcoin Lightning transaction?

Freedom Money mean money that can't be controlled by banks and governments, money that can't be created out of thin air.

Bitcoin gives enough anonymity. And yes, I do like privacy but there is no ideal things in the universe.

Mr Officer, that is same as asking to whom a specific phone number belongs.

We don't make a living tracking the owners of phone numbers, but you just need yourself to input the number and immediately get the name of the person.

Same for those fedcoin addresses. We as normal people don't track them, but you also know that many professional services make a good living from that.

Not true. Its not the same.

Phone numbers are centrally issued by authorities - mobile companies.

I generate random Bitcoin address on my Bitcoin wallet and no one knows to whom this new random address belongs.

Now you pretend that chain analysis doesn't exist. How cute.

Analyse the chain and tell me who is behind this address?

You can tell the money came from address x, before from address y ... but who is behind them?

Also for better anonymity people can use coinjoins. And chain analysis ends there.

I'm not the government, don't have the same interest nor budget to hire those services.

You know that too. ☺️

And Bitcoin addresses are not like phone numbers ...

Yes, they literally are πŸ˜‚

Okay, shitcoiner

Have a good day, officer. πŸ‘

You too : )

we might not us as individuals be able to, but centralized exchanges who kyced a bunch of newcomers definetly can.

Harder to do chainanalysis with monero even if you know the public adress though.

The article you mention is not correct. And no, I won't link to the correct explanation because you know it also, you'll just try to tire the more naive people who actually told you this before and provided the links.

Can you please make a proper effort to bring up accusations against monero?

Saying that the article is not correct is cope.

Just use your Monero and have fun. Prepare for 16th hard fork that will prevent 51% attack next time.

You present articles with false information and now mention a 51% attack that never happened.

Anything else on your bag, officer?

You are in denial. You try to bend reality.

The red blocks are the attackers blocks on Monero blockchain.

Now read that article in detail, lol.

There was a technical explanation next to it, I guess you skip those things.

Oh my.. still ignoring the technical explanation and now quoting some random anon writing from a government controlled platform.

Color me surprised. πŸ‘

You're conflating anonymity (hiding identity) with privacy (hiding contents of a transaction)

One is wearing a ski mask while having a public conversation. The other is knowing who is in a room, but not being able to hear their conversation.

No privacy makes it easier to weaken your anonymity over time. You need both.

Privacy that Lightning vs Monero offers is nuanced, but I doubt you'll admit that.

For example every node on your Lightning route knows amounts passing through them. Monero nodes do not.

On the other hand Lightning offers better receiver privacy if used correctly. Most lightning users on Wallet of Satoshi and Strike have zero privacy from them. They know your balances and how much you receive/send. Similar to a traditional bank.

Yep there are trade-offs to everything it just depends on your goals and what you want.

Agree. My priority first is Freedom Sovereign Money and then privacy and anonymity (which I do of course appretiate).

Your first priority is privacy - that is fine.
